They went to the same school, shared the same friends, but never spoke to each other until their high school reunion in 2010. At a friend’s birthday party their love would fruition. You know, boy meets girl. Some flirting happens and by some magic of the Gods they have been inseparable ever since. They rarely have a “new” story to tell, because they all grew up together. They may have the same name, plus or minus a vowel, but their personalities are quite the opposite. Gabe is very patient and understanding of Gaby’s Type A’s personality. Gaby keeps things on the edge, risky, and in the flow. I would say, they balance each other out! Gaby and Gabe moved to Miami in 2012 from Venezuela,  been doing this thing for eight years, and decided to have their wedding on the night of their eighth anniversary: December 16th, 2018.

Picture this: A boho garden wedding with twinkle lights, huge mango trees, amazing Spanish music, Paella for dinner, and lots of yummy desserts. Let me hear all the virtual “Awes,” because this magical wedding is one for the books.

Under this eccentric tree tangled in Christmas lights I watched both personalities unfold and compliment each other. Gaby entrusted in me to capture her guests in pure and utter happiness. It wasn’t hard to find those subtle expressions around me, because everything fell into place so naturally. We swayed and twirled with the trees. Laughed quite a bit and kept it real fun. The silent moments held time still. The crazy movements allowed for time to take its course. My goal was that in the midst of all the chaos, they would be able to look back on this collection of memories and relieve the day as if it was only yesterday.
