Music has a way of having different effects on people. For some it is just a way to pass time or simply noise in the background.

For a selected few music is a trance. A stillness only held by the melodious coalition between beats and rhythms. Sounds that tickle eardrums and ignite goosebumps. An experience where heart beats rise and smiles shine as arms sway up in the air and tears trickle down from soulfully watery eyes.

For some music is the bits and pieces that slowly tell one’s story.

Believing she was born in the wrong generation, the seventies would have suited Taylor Eubank’s refined taste for classic grunge rock and indie folk. Music to Taylor is like Yoko Ono to John Lennon; a perfect match. Scrolling through her Spotify account makes for a one on one introduction of her personality. Her feelings dictate the composure of each playlist and the name is inspired by a color.  So if she is listening to Grey we can predict she is feeling some type of cloudy inside.

Her taste might resemble a melancholic afternoon of car window gazing as her boyfriend, Matt, puts it. Yet, who doesn’t love Stevie Nick’s husky nasal edgy voice or Jonny Greenwood’s low pitched moans? Depressing or not Fleetwood Mac and Radiohead never disappoint.

A free spirit caught in the flow of society, Taylor’s rare palette for over 200 vinyl records, Sofia Coppola’s acting, and vintage film photography proves her to be a rare and beautiful musical note in this world. She sorts through what is truly important in her life while not sweating the small stuff and leaving the stressful things behind.
